Miss Me, But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a littleóbut not too long,
and not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that was once shared.
Miss me, but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take, and each must go alone.
Itís all a part of the masterís plan, a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know.
Bear your sorrow in good deeds. Miss me, but let me go.

Because I could not stop for Death

Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
And Immortality.

We slowly drove, he knew no haste,
And I had put away
My labor, and my leisure too,
For his civility.

We passed the school where children played,
Their lessons scarcely done;
We passed the fields of gazing grain,
We passed the setting sun.

We paused before a house that seemed
A swelling of the ground;
The roof was scarcely visible.
The cornice but a mound.

By Emily Dickinson

I Measure Every Grief...

I measure every grief I meet
With analytic eyes; I wonder if it weighs like mine,
Or has an easier size.

I wonder if they bore it long,
Or did it just begin?
I could not tell the date of mine,
It feels so old a pain.

I wonder if it hurts to live,
And if they have to try,
And whether, could they choose between,
They would not rather die.

I wonder if when years have piled--
Some thousands--on the cause
Of early hurt,
if such a lapse Could give them any pause;

Or would they go on aching still
Through centuries above,
Enlightened to a larger pain
By contrast with the love.

The grieved are many, I am told;
The reason deeper lies --
Death is but one and comes but once
And only nails the eyes.

There's grief of want, and grief of cold,--
A sort they call 'despair,'
There's banishment from native eyes,
In sight of native air.

And though I may not guess the kind
Correctly yet to me
A piercing comfort it affords
In passing Calvary,

To note the fashions of the cross
Of those that stand alone
Still fascinated to presume
That some are like my own.

by Emily Dickinson

Come With Me

The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms around you
and whispered, "Come with me"

With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
A beautiful smile at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.

It's lonesome here without you
We miss you so each day,
Our lives aren't the same
Since you went away.

When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
"Cheer up and carry on."

Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday."

I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that place at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much;
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seems all too brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

May You Find Serenity

May you find serenity and tranquility in a world you may not always understand. May the pain you have known and the conflict you have experienced give you the strength to walk through life facing each new situation with courage and optimism. Always know that there are those whose love and understanding will always be there, even when you feel most alone. May you discover enough goodness in others to believe in a world of peace. May a kind word, a reassuring touch, and a warm smile be yours every day of your life, and may you give these gifts as well as receive them. Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending.

Teach love to those who hate, and let that love embrace you as you go out into the world. May the teachings of those you admire become part of you, so that you may call upon them. Remember, those whose lives you have touched and whose have touched yours are always a part of you, even if the encounters were less than you would have wished. It is the content of the encounter that is more important than the form.

May you not become too concerned with material matters, but instead place immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart. Find time each day to see beauty and love in the world around you. Realize that, each person has limitless abilities, but each of us is different in our own way. What you feel you lack in the present may become one of your strengths in the future. May you see your future as one filled with promise and possibility. Learn to view everything as a worthwhile experience. May you find enough inner strength to determine your own worth by yourself, and not be dependent on another's judgement of your accomplishments. May you always feel loved.

The Plan of the Master Weaver

My life is but a weaving between the Lord and me,
I may not choose the colors,
He knows what they should be
For He can view the pattern upon the upper side,
While I can see it only on this, the under sideÖ

Sometimes He weaveth sorrow, which seemeth strange to me,
But I will trust His judgement, and work on faithfully,
ĎTis He who fills the shuttle, and He knows what is best,
So I shall weave in earnest, leaving to Him the restÖ

Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why -
The dark threads are as needed in the Weaverís skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD,
which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is thy keeper:
The LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil:
He shall preserve thy soul.
The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth,
And even forevermore.

When I'm Called Home

When I'm Called Home

When I breathe my last upon this earth,
Don't be sad and filled with pain.
My purpose will be completed.
What I've longed for, I've attained.

Don't shed a tear, but smile instead.
My death is not the end.
I'm still living - just on a higher plane,
With Jesus - my dearest friend.

When my earthly body is lowered,
Into the cold, dark, dreary ground.
It won't lie there forever,
Only 'til the trumpet's sound.

Please etch upon my headstone,
The date God gave me birth.
But enter not the month and year,
He took me from this earth.

My spirit will still be living,
For I was saved by grace.
I'll be dwelling with my Savior.
In that glorious, heavenly place.

And when the final trumpet sounds,
First the dead in Christ shall rise.
Then my body that was buried,
Will be caught up in the skies.

It will meet there with my spirit.
And the two shall be entwined.
To form the perfect body,
That my precious Lord designed.

If God has not yet called you,
Before that final trumpet sounds,
You'll be changed and rise to meet him.
For you, too, are Heaven bound.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

When tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and
called my name,
And took me by the hand,
And said my place was ready,
In Heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye,
For all my life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for,
So much yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible,
That I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays,
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
And all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday,
Just even for a while,
I'd say goodbye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories,
Would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through Heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and
smiled at me,
From His great golden throne,
He said "This is eternity,
And all I've promised you."

Today for life on earth is past,
But here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
and since each day's the same way
There's no longing for the past.

Buy you have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true.
Though there were times
you did some things,
You knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free.
So won't you take my hand
And share my life with me?

So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.

Godís Greatest Plan

She was so special and dear
To so many here

Oh how we cherished our
Time with her here below
But for each there will come a time to go

Dismayed we were when angels
Above took our beloved

In Godís plan there is no sickness or pain
Just all of Godís riches to gain

Just remember nothing is greater
Then to spend eternity with our Creator
For that is Godís Greatest Plan

Godís Greatest Plan

But for each there will come a time to go

Dismayed we were when angels
Above took our beloved

Christmas in Heaven

I see how much you grieve for me,
I see the pain inside your Heart
But remember we will never really be apart.

I see the countless Christmas trees on earth below
With tiny lights, like Heavenís stars, reflecting in the snow.

I hear the Christmas songs that people sing so dear
But they canít compare with the choir up here.

Words canít describe hearing angels sing.
Oh how much joy their voices bring.

Happy for me I want you to be,
So please wipe away the tear.
For I am spending Christmas
With Jesus this year.

ďGood Morning, This isĒ

ďGood Morning, This
Is God, I will be handling
All your problems today.
And I will not need
Your help,
So have a good day!Ē

Godís Promise

God never promised a life without pain,
Laughter without tears or sun without rain.
But He did not promise strength for the day,
Comfort for the tears and the light for the way,
And for all who believe In His Heaven above
He rewards their faith In His everlasting love.

Precious Memory shown with daughter (But also comes with Mother, Father, Son, Brother, Sister, Wife, Husband or Friend)

My Daughterís
Precious Memory
Will remain so dear through all
The years of laughter and tears
Those precious times together are forever cherished memories

In loving memory of my daughter

Life is but a Stopping Place

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in whatís to be a resting place
Along the road to sweet eternity. We all
Have different journeys, different paths along
The way, we all were meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay Ö our destination is a
Place far greater than we know. For some,
The journeyís quicker, for some the journeyís
Slow. And when the journey finally ends,
Weíll claim a great reward and find an
Everlasting peace together
With the Lord.

If You Could See Me Now

If you could see me now you wouldnít shed a tear.
Though you may not understand why Iím no longer there.
Remember my spirit that is the real me because Iím still very
Much alive, Iíve just been set free, Oh, if you could only see!
I have beheld our Fatherís face and Iíve touched my Saviorís
Hand. All of Heavenís angels rejoiced as I entered the promised
Land. Beyond the gates of pearl Iíve walked on the golden streets.
Iíve touched the walls of jasper and dipped my foot in the
Crystal sea. The beauty is beyond words and nothing could
Compare, Iíve even seen your mansion and someday
Iíll meet you there. Let Jesus be your guide because
His Word will show you the way! So please donít
Cry because we will meet again someday.
